Manufacturers of rubber products can use vulcanizers to test product reproducibility and stability, and to design and test rubber formulations. Manufacturers can conduct on-site inspections on the production line to know whether the vulcanization characteristics of each batch or even each moment meet the product requirements. It is used to measure the vulcanization characteristics of unvulcanized rubber. Through the reciprocating vibration of the rubber in the mold cavity, the reaction torque (force) of the mold cavity is obtained to obtain a vulcanization curve of torque and time, and the time, temperature and pressure of vulcanization can be scientifically determined. These three elements, they are the key to ultimately determine the quality of the product, and also determine the physical properties of the compound.
2. The working principle of the rubber vulcanizer
The working principle of the instrument is to measure the change of the shear modulus of the rubber compound during the vulcanization process, and the shear modulus is proportional to the crosslinking density, so the measurement result reflects the change of the crosslinking degree of the rubber compound during the vulcanization process, which can be measured. Important parameters such as initial viscosity, scorch time, vulcanization rate, positive vulcanization time and oversulfur reversion.
According to the measurement principle, it can be divided into two types. The first type is to apply a certain amplitude force to the rubber compound to measure the corresponding deformation, such as Wallace vulcanizer and Akfa vulcanizer. The other type applies a certain amplitude to the rubber compound. The shear deformation is measured, and the corresponding shear force is measured, including rotor and rotorless disc oscillating vulcanizers. According to the classification of use, there are cone vulcanizers suitable for sponge products, vulcanizers suitable for factory quality control, differential vulcanizers suitable for research, and programmed temperature vulcanizers suitable for simulating the vulcanization process of thick products and determining the best vulcanization state Wait.
