The difference between natural rubber and compound rubber

Natural rubber is a natural polymer compound with polyisoprene as the main component. Its molecular formula is (C5H8)n. 91% to 94% of its components are rubber hydrocarbons (polyisoprene), and the rest are protein, Non-rubber substances such as fatty acids, ash, sugars, etc. Natural rubber is the most widely used general-purpose rubber.
Composite rubber: Composite rubber means that the content of natural rubber is 95%-99.5%, and a small amount of stearic acid, styrene-butadiene rubber, butadiene rubber, isoprene rubber, zinc oxide, carbon black or peptizer is added. Refined compound rubber.
Chinese name: synthetic rubber
English name: synthetic rubber
Definition: A highly elastic material with reversible deformation based on synthetic polymer compounds.

● Classification of rubber
Rubber is mainly divided into three categories: natural rubber, compound rubber, and synthetic rubber.

Among them, natural rubber and compound rubber are the main types we import at present; synthetic rubber refers to those extracted from petroleum, so we will not consider it for the time being.

Natural rubber (nature rubber) refers to rubber made from natural rubber-producing plants. Compounded rubber is made by mixing natural rubber with a little synthetic rubber and some chemical products.

● Natural rubber

Natural rubber is divided into standard rubber and smoked sheet rubber according to different manufacturing processes. Standard rubber is standard rubber. For example, China’s standard rubber is Standard rubber of China, abbreviated as SCR, and similarly there are SVR, STR, SMR and so on.

Standard glue also has different grades, such as SVR3L, SVR 5, SVR10, SVR20, SVR 50… etc.; according to the size of the number, the larger the number, the worse the quality; the smaller the number, the better the quality (the most important thing to distinguish between good and bad The factor is the ash and impurity content of the product, the less ash, the better the quality).

Smoked sheet glue is Ribbed Smoked Sheet, which refers to a thin piece of smoked rubber, abbreviated as RSS. This abbreviation is different from standard glue, and it is not classified according to the place of production, and the expression is the same in different places of production.

There are also different grades of smoked sheet glue, RSS1, RSS2, RSS3, RSS4, RSS5, the same, RSS1 is also the best quality, RSS5 is the worst quality.

● Composite rubber

It is made by mixing and refining natural rubber with a little synthetic rubber and some chemical products. The most commonly used compound rubber formula is this, such as Malaysia’s compound rubber SMR Compounded Rubber 97% SMR 20 (Malaysian standard rubber) + 2.5% SBR (styrene butadiene rubber, a synthetic rubber) + 0.5% stearic acid acid).

Compound rubber depends on the natural rubber that constitutes its main component. It is called compound. As above, the main component is SMR 20, so it is called Malaysia No. 20 standard rubber compound; there are also smoke sheet compound and standard rubber compound.
